FAQs FOR CANDIDATES
What is the best way to apply for a position?
Send an email to resumes@qualitycareer.com (please note it is ‘resumes’, not ‘resume’) with the subject line “Candidate Resume”.
By providing an electronic copy of your resume, your resume can be forwarded to clients much faster.
What should I include in my email other than my resume?
So we have a better idea of your goals, please include the type of position (or positions) you are seeking (i.e. accounts payable, general labour, customer service, etc.), whether you are seeking a temporary position or permanent position, and the hourly rate or annual salary you expect. See the Information page for details.
Will Quality Personnel contact me if I submit a resume?
As long as you submit a resume, you are guaranteed a staff member will review your resume. We review resumes every 2 – 3 days for any positions we have available. Unfortunately we cannot respond to all resume submissions, however, as stated above, your resume is guaranteed a review by our staff.
Do I need to call or email again after I submit my resume?
It is not necessary to follow up as long as you email your resume.
What is the difference between temporary, permanent and temporary-to-permanent positions?
- A temporary position indicates the Employer requires a candidate from a few days up to a few months, at which time the position ends;
- A permanent position indicates the Employer wants to hire a candidate on a long-term basis;
- A temporary-to-permanent position indicates the Employer requires a candidate on a temporary basis, and depending on the candidate performance and/or company requirements, an offer of permanent employment may be extended. Most employers will extend an offer of permanent employment if the candidate has proven their abilities in the temporary period of a temporary-to-permanent placement.
Is there a cost to me, the candidate, to use Quality Personnel?
No. You will never be asked for a fee from Quality Personnel.
Once you accept my resume, when do you test and interview candidates?
Once Quality Personnel has a suitable position which we determine you are qualified for and would be interested in, we will contact you for an interview and administer standard and/or client specific test as required based on the position.
Can I just show up at your office to register or drop off a resume?
As mentioned above, we require your resume by email for entry into our systems. We do not process on-site registrations at this time.
When does an employee receive payment?
For temporary assignments, Quality Personnel issues pay bi-weekly by cheque or direct deposit, which is the candidate’s option. If you are hired directly by a client, you will be paid according to the Client’s payroll policy.
